Tonsil Optimum 218 FF - bleaching earth for bio-oils
In addition to acid-activated bleaching earths of the Tonsil range, manufactured by Clariant, we have now expanded our portfolio with Tonsil Optimum 218 FF. This Tonsil grade is characterized by excellent ion exchange capacity and can thus be used to refine a wide range of oils. It is an activated bleaching earth based on the mineral calcium bentonite.
The special feature of this grade is that the bleaching earth is not activated by acid and not by other chemicals. This special form of activation means that Tonsil Optimum 218 FF can also be used to purify bio-oils and RBD oils. Through its application in the oil, Tonsil helps to remove unwanted odors, tastes and other impurities from the medium.
Furthermore, all other grades of the Tonsil product range are of course also available.
KYROSAN - disinfectant based on chlorine dioxide
KYROSAN is a highly effective liquid active ingredient concentrate that can be used as a disinfectant and oxidant in a wide range of water treatment applications.
Due to its synergistic formulation, in which the active ingredient chlorine dioxide is produced immediately after addition to water, KYROSAN is ideally suited for the cost-effective disinfection of water and its associated peripherals (tanks, pipelines, filters), as well as for the safe oxidation of water constituents such as iron or manganese.
Compared to salt-acid combination products KYROSAN convinces by its material-protecting characteristics as well as an unusual purity regarding unwanted reaction by-products. The biocidal effect of KYROSAN reliably eliminates all germs such as viruses, bacteria, fungi or spores. In addition, the application can remove biofilms, which serve as a breeding ground for microorganisms. The gaseous properties of the chlorine dioxide ensure that biofilms can be removed even in places that are difficult to access.
KYROSAN is offered with different active contents, which means that we can also supply the right solution for your application.
Introducing the TERquest product line:
TERquest products are synergistic formulations based on phosphonate compounds for effective prevention of mineral deposits in aqueous systems. The use of products in the TERquest range keeps cations in solution that would otherwise result in mineral deposits on the inner walls of liquid-bearing elements. The deposits prevent efficient energy exchange between the system and the environment.
Phosphonates are used in detergents and cleaners as water hardness stabilizers, as well as in cooling water systems and desalination plants as antiscalants. In addition, TERquest products are also available in drinking water quality and, besides the treatment of water-bearing systems, are also used in the conditioning of the feed water of reverse osmosis plants.
